Bruno Brito

Bruno Brito has a diverse work experience spanning over 14 years. Bruno is currently working as a Senior Backend Engineer at tb.lx by Daimler Trucks & Buses since November 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Natixis in Portugal from September 2018 to November 2022, where they held the role of Tech Lead. At Natixis, they were involved in the development of web and mobile applications for employee savings management, adopting technologies such as Java, SpringBoot, Kotlin, TypeScript, Angular, and Ionic.

Before Natixis, Bruno worked at enoportal.pt, where they served as a Developer and Editor from March 2014 to 2020. This experience allowed him to combine their passion for wines and their background in viticulture and enology. Bruno created enoportal.pt as a platform to showcase the latest news in the wine industry.

In addition to these roles, Bruno has also worked as a Senior Software Developer at Natixis via Altran, Senior Software Engineer at Porto Editora, Software Engineer at Porto Tech Center, and Software Engineer at Eurotux, SA. Bruno served as the CTO at AEIOU and later as a Senior Developer, where they worked on the development of the aeiou.pt web portal and services, as well as an adserver for Impresa, a prominent media group in Portugal.

Bruno's career began as a Web Developer at ALERT Life Sciences Computing, S.A. and AEIOU, where they gained experience in web development using technologies like PHP, MySQL, Apache SOLR, and Perl.

Throughout their career, Bruno has contributed to various projects, demonstrating expertise in a wide range of technologies and methodologies, including Java, SpringBoot, Kotlin, TypeScript, Angular, Ionic, Scrum, Domain Driven Development, and Test-driven Development.

Bruno Brito's education history begins in 2004 when they enrolled at the Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto. Bruno completed their studies in 2007 and earned a degree in Licenciado em engenharia informática, ramo de computadores e sistemas in the field of Tecnologia da Informação.

After a gap in their education, Bruno returned to academia in 2013 and attended the Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto. Bruno completed their studies in 2015 and obtained a Pós Graduação in Viticultura e Enologia, focusing on the study of grape cultivation and winemaking.

In the same year, 2014, Bruno also pursued a certification from the Wine & Spirit Education Trust (WSET). Bruno completed the WSET Level 3 Advanced Certificate in Wines & Spirits, deepening their knowledge in the field of wines and spirits.
