Roman Matantsev

Roman Matantsev currently serves as the Head of Computer Vision at Tinkoff, the world's largest digital bank, since July 2023. Prior to this role, Roman worked as a Lecturer at OTUS Онлайн-образование from March 2023 to December 2023, and served as a Senior Deep Learning Engineer at Botkin.AI, a startup focused on AI tools for medical image analysis, from December 2019 to December 2022. Roman also has experience as a Senior Data Scientist at Uptick Labs, Inc. from September 2017 to July 2019, where insights were derived from AI applications in CRM tools. Earlier in Roman's career, from February 2011 to August 2017, significant contributions were made as a Researcher and Structural Engineer at Krylov State Research Center, enhancing methodologies related to ice loads and optimizing project costs for oil platforms. Roman holds a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and Physics from Saint Petersburg State University, completed between 2007 and 2013.
