Robert Popien

Robert Popien has over three decades of experience in telecommunications and health and safety roles, primarily with Tbaytel since January 2001. Currently serving as a Health and Safety Advisor, Robert ensures compliance with health and safety policies, the Canada Labour Code Part II, and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, with a focus on employee training and contractor compliance. Previous roles at Tbaytel included Wireless Network Engineering Associate, where responsibilities encompassed E911 support, wireless number portability deployment, and construction management for cell sites. Earlier career experience includes serving as a Central Office Technician and working in the Repair Service Bureau, alongside a decade as a Service Technician at Dictaphone, where the focus was on servicing 911 systems and dictation systems for emergency and healthcare services. Robert holds an educational background from Confederation College, having attended from 1989 to 1992.
