Andrus Tasa

Andrus Tasa is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors. Currently serving as Partner and Chairman of the Board at TBD Pharmatech since December 2006, Andrus oversees a company specializing in the small-scale production of chemical and pharmaceutical products. As Partner and CEO of Tartu Biotechnology Park since January 2001, Andrus has played a pivotal role in providing infrastructure and consultancy services to biotechnology and medical companies. Additionally, Andrus led the Supervisory Board of the Competence Centre on Health Technologies from January 2010 to December 2021, focusing on applied research in clinical and translational medicine. Prior experience includes heading the Department of Research and Development at the University of Tartu from 1995 to 2001. Educational background includes a PhD in Biology (Genetics) from the University of Tartu, obtained between 1984 and 1991.
