Mic Neale

Mic Neale has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Currently, Neale is working as the Director of Engineering at TBD, where they lead engineering efforts and works on open-source projects. Neale is also an Angel Investor/Advisor at Sprkl, a personal observability platform for developers.

Prior to these roles, Neale has held various positions at CloudBees, starting as an Engineering Manager & Co-founder and eventually becoming the Chief Scientist and Co-founder. At CloudBees, Neale played a crucial role in building a platform as a service for developers.

Neale also co-founded Rad Alert, a startup focused on monitoring systems through machine learning. Before that, Neale worked at Red Hat, where they were a Project Leader and worked on the JBoss Rules product. Mic also contributed to the Drools open-source project.

Neale's early career includes working at The Codehaus and JBoss Inc. Mic was involved in the development of Drools and made contributions to various other projects within the organization. Neale also worked as a Managing Technical Architect and design team leader at Suncorp and as a Software Engineer & Principal at E-Plus Pty Ltd and Information Technology and Services Consultant. Mic started their career as a contractor at Qantas.

Throughout their career, Neale has demonstrated a diverse skill set and has been actively involved in technology selection, design, architecture, marketing, and hiring.

Mic Neale holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with honors from UNSW.
