Matthew Stoddart has extensive work experience in the creative industry. Matthew is currently serving as the Chair Industry Advisory Committee at RMIT University since August 2023, and as an Industry Advisory Committee member for the B Comm program since May 2020. Previously, they worked at TBWA\Australia, where they held various roles including Executive Creative Director, Group Creative Director, Creative Director, and Senior Art Director from 2014 to the present. Matthew also served as a Group Creative Director at Eleven from October 2017 to July 2023. Matthew has worked as a Freelance Creative Director at Wunderman in November-December 2013. Prior to that, they were a Senior Art Director at McCann Worldgroup from January 2012 to September 2013, where they worked on various clients including Google, L'Oreal, Holden, and Coca Cola Amatil. Matthew also gained experience as a Senior Art Director at Wunderman from October 2009 to January 2012, where they worked with brands such as Ford, Origin, and Fosters. Before that, they were an Art Director at Clemenger BBDO from March 2007 to October 2009 and at Urlwin McDonald & Clients from February 2003 to March 2007. Matthew began their career as a Digital Art Director at MediaFX from January 2002 to February 2003, where they worked on interactive applications and creative briefs for outdoor, TV, and radio. Matthew also worked as a Freelance Graphic Designer at Samuel Miller Films in New Zealand in December 2001-January 2002.
Matthew Stoddart attended the National College of Design and Technology from 2000 to 2001, where they obtained a Diploma in Graphic Design/Creative Communications. Matthew then continued their education at the same college from 2001 to 2002, earning another Diploma, this time in Multimedia. Prior to attending college, Matthew Stoddart graduated from Burnside High School between 1995 and 1999.
