Salim Jivraj has a strong background in the financial industry, primarily with TD Bank. Salim started in 2001 as the Managing Director of TD Securities and worked in that role until 2008. Salim then transitioned to various leadership positions within TD Bank, including Vice President of Digital Channels and SVP & CIO of Digital Channels and Payments. In these roles, they were responsible for overseeing the bank's online and mobile portfolio and driving its digital transformation. In 2013, Jivraj took on the role of COO at UGO Mobile Solutions LLP, where they led the strategy and operation of Canada's first open wallet platform. Salim returned to TD Bank in 2016 as the SVP & CIO of Digital Channels and Payments, and in 2020, they became the SVP of Transformation and Shared Services at TD Insurance. In this role, they are responsible for the overall digital and business transformation strategy, as well as the approach to cross-functional shared services.
Salim Jivraj completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (BA Sc) degree in Systems Design Engineering from the University of Waterloo from 1989 to 1994. Before that, from 1984 to 1989, they attended Harbord, but it is unclear if they obtained a degree or field of study from that institution.
