Qianran He

Qianran (Katherine) He, PhD, currently serves as an Investment Associate at TDK Ventures, focusing on global early-stage tech startups that prioritize sustainability and social impact. Previously, Qianran held roles including Investment Analyst and Summer Associate, where responsibilities spanned sourcing and assessing investments in energy-storage technologies. Additionally, Qianran is an investor at Peak Energy, Novalith, and AM Batteries, contributing to advancements in energy storage and lithium extraction technologies. As Co-Founder and Managing Editor of the Volta Foundation, Qianran fosters a community of battery professionals to enhance the energy storage ecosystem. With a robust background in energy storage research and development, including patents for innovative electrode designs from tenure at Nanoramic Laboratories, Qianran also gained entrepreneurial experience through the National Science Foundation's I-Corps program. Academic qualifications include a PhD from the Illinois Institute of Technology, complemented by degrees from Stanford University and Shandong University.
