Alfena McDonald

Alfena McDonald has extensive experience in education and leadership, currently serving as the Manager of Regional External Affairs and previously holding various roles including Director of Donor Relations for the NC Development Hub and Director and Leadership Coach at Teach For America since June 2016. Alfena began a teaching career as a 7th Grade Teacher at Nash Rocky Mount Schools from August 2016 to July 2019 after being selected as a Corps member for Teach For America. Alfena holds a Master of Arts in Communication and Media Studies from Southern New Hampshire University, obtained between 2017 and 2019, as well as a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from North Carolina Central University, earned in 2016.
