Kate McNamara

Kate McNamara currently serves as the Managing Director of Strategy, People & Operations at Teach For America, overseeing the development of a 130-person Recruitment Team and regional partners. With a track record of advancing recruitment and performance initiatives, Kate has held various leadership roles within the organization, including Director of People and Performance and Recruitment Director. Prior to joining Teach For America, Kate was a Lead Teacher at KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools and a First Grade Teacher at Quitman County Elementary School, where dedication to student achievement and skill development was paramount. Additionally, Kate's early career includes an internship at Southwest Airlines, focusing on university engagement and recruitment strategies. Kate holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and History of Art from Vanderbilt University and a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Delta State University.
