Lucila Lopez

Lucila Lopez serves as the Managing Director of Leadership Development at Teach For America since October 2020, having previously held the position of Manager for Teacher Leadership Development. Prior experience includes serving as a Web Development Instructor for Kode With Klossy from March 2020 to August 2023, a STEM Teacher at Caliber Public Schools from August 2019 to July 2020, and a Bilingual Teacher at Harlingen Consolidated Independent School District from August 2016 to July 2019. Lucila began her career as a Research Assistant at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley under the Howard Hughes Medical Institute in 2015 and worked as a Community Organizer for Battleground Texas in 2014. Lucila holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley, completed in 2015, and obtained a high school diploma from Universidad de Monterrey between 2007 and 2010.
