Teach For Bangladesh

We believe that every child is born with limitless potential, and no child’s opportunity to learn or achieve should be limited by the socio-economic conditions of his or her family. Disparity in educational opportunity is an urgent but solvable problem in Bangladesh. In order to build a truly equitable society – in which all children are able to realize their full potential through talent and hard work – we need exceptional leaders who have the knowledge, skills and commitment to bring change. WHAT WE DO Teach For Bangladesh works to reduce educational inequity in targeted schools and communities while simultaneously building a movement of leaders who will spearhead the macro-level changes needed to reshape our education system and society at large. We offer a unique, rigorous, and internationally-recognized Fellowship for young adults with tremendous leadership potential and an appetite for challenge. Fellows spend two years embedded as full-time teachers in under-served schools, expanding the educational opportunity of their students while expanding their own capacity as leaders. They leave the program not only having directly affected the lives of hundreds of disadvantaged students, but also with the conviction and the skills to lead change through high-impact careers in the public, corporate or development sectors in Bangladesh.
