Alpana Mallick

Alpana Mallick is the Senior Director of Regions at Teach For India. Prior to their current position, they worked as a Content Manager at Engage Infomedia India Pvt. Ltd. from February 2010 to March 2011. There, they were responsible for managing the web portal www.bookchums.com, which is India's first book networking site dedicated to connecting book lovers. On the site, users can participate in book clubs, blogs, discussion rooms, and book reviews.

Mallick's primary responsibility was content management, though with time they also took on project management and social media management. Alpana coordinated development planning and implementation with the Developer team, managed social media accounts for the site, and conducted interviews with authors and wrote book reviews.

Alpana Mallick completed a BBA in Business Administration from SYMBIOSIS INTERNATIONAL UNIVERSITY. Alpana then went on to complete a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Marketing, Communication, Business Strategy, and Economics from Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies- Pune.
