Bob Bowlsby

Bob Bowlsby has spent his career raising the bar for American collegiate athletics. He was selected as the fourth full-time Commissioner of the Big 12 Conference in 2012. Before this role, Bowlsby spent 6 years at Stanford as an athletic department director, leading Stanford to win a record-breaking 17 consecutive Learfield Sports Directors Cups. Prior to his successes at Stanford, he served 22 years as Director of Athletics, first at University of Northern Iowa and then at University of Iowa, where he took charge of the merger of the Hawkeye men’s and women’s athletics.
