Dr. Chris Nowinski is the founding CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, a non-profit whose mission is to support athletes, Veterans, and all affected by concussions and CTE; achieve smarter sports and safer athletes through education and innovation; and to end CTE through prevention and research. Nowinski co-founded the Boston University CTE Center, where he earned his Ph.D. in Behavioral Neuroscience. He has authored 25 medical journal articles and the critically acclaimed book Head Games: The Global Concussion Crisis. He was as an All-Ivy defensive tackle for the Harvard University football team before becoming a professional wrestler with WWE. Dr. Nowinski’s own resulting concussion experiences inspired his since tireless dedication to brain injury prevention.
