Dr. Gordon Matheson is Professor Emeritus at the Stanford University School of Medicine. At Stanford he practiced sports medicine, taught undergraduate courses and had an active research program with 200 publications and 250 lectures in 16 countries. He founded the Clinical Journal of Sport Medicine, chaired the Board Governance Committee for the International Justice Mission, was an expert for the World Anti-Doping Agency, and headed the International Olympic Committee Disease Prevention Working Group. At Stanford, Dr. Matheson served as a member of the Medical Senate, created the Division of Sports Medicine, and was a member of the Medical School Admissions Committee. Dr. Matheson has been Team Physician for Stanford teams, the Canadian Olympic Hockey Team, the Vancouver Canucks (NHL), and the Golden State Warriors (NBA). He is currently a healthcare consultant.
