Tara VanDerveer

Tara VanDerveer is The Setsuko Ishiyama Director of Women’s Basketball at Stanford University. She has established herself as one of the top coaches in the history of collegiate and international women’s basketball, and she set the record for most wins ever in women’s basketball in 2021. She was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame. Tara is a four-time National Coach of the Year and 15-time Pac-12 Coach of the Year. Coach VanDerveer has led her Stanford teams to three NCAA Championships, including the 2021 Title while guiding her team to an undefeated season. Her teams have reached 13 NCAA Final Fours. Coach VanDerveer was also the head coach of 1996 U.S. Olympic Gold medalist team.
