Theresa Hernández

Dean Theresa Hernández is the Associate Dean for Research, Arts and Science and a Professor in the Departments of Psychology & Neuroscience and Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at the University of Colorado, Boulder. She has studied traumatic brain injury (TBI) since 1985 using basic and clinical neuroscience methods aimed at optimizing recovery and functional outcome in Veterans, civilians and athletes, by reducing the impact of stress and promoting psychological health. Her work is supported by the Pac-12 to optimize student-athlete health and well-being, as well as concussion assessment and recovery. Dean Hernández also works in partnership with the Wardenburg Concussion Team at CU Boulder to develop ways to enhance campus-wide concussion education, awareness and understanding.
