Elizabeth Van Hoesen

Elizabeth Van Hoesen is a dedicated educational leader currently serving as Principal and Academic Leader in Residence at Phalen Leadership Academies, where the focus is on implementing academic programs to enhance student performance. Elizabeth has a diverse background in education, holding roles such as Interim High School Principal at Jalen Rose Leadership Academy and STEM instructional coach at University Prep Schools, alongside founding Xtra Fly Math LLC and Knowing U R Beautiful K.U.R.B. Elizabeth’s teaching experience includes third-grade positions at National Heritage Academies and a commitment to mentoring through volunteer work with Boys Hope Girls Hope. An alumnus of the University of Michigan with a BA in Film and Video Studies and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Phoenix, Elizabeth combines their educational expertise with a passion for community development and student success.
