Director of Project Management Support at Teaching Lab

Kelly S. has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and organizations. In 2011, they started as an ESOL Programs Assistant/AmeriCorps Member at the Orange County Literacy Council, where they supported ESOL programs. The following year, they became a Middle School Tutorial Coordinator/AmeriCorps Member at Blue Ribbon Mentor-Advocate.

In 2013, Kelly joined the Orange County Literacy Council again, this time as an ESOL Program Coordinator. Kelly managed the ESOL program until 2014 when they transitioned to becoming the English Program Coordinator at UPAVIM (Unidas Para Vivir Mejor), a role they held for a year.

In 2015, Kelly became the Graduate Coordinator at America Reads*America Counts, where they coordinated graduate students involved in the program. In 2017, they took on the position of Program Leader at Thinking Beyond Borders, a role they held until 2019 when they were promoted to Director of Programs.

Kelly's most recent position is with Teaching Lab, where they started as a Project Manager in 2021 and later became the Director of Project Management Support in 2022.

Kelly S. obtained a Bachelor's degree in International Relations with a focus on International/Global Studies from North Carolina State University. Kelly pursued further education at the University of Maryland, where they completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in International Education Policy from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their academic degrees, Kelly S. has obtained a Google Project Management Certificate from Coursera in June 2022. Kelly also holds certifications in CPR/First Aid and Wilderness First Aid, although specific information about the institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications is not provided.
