Kevin Heanue is an accomplished economist with extensive experience in both teaching and research. Currently serving as Senior Evaluation Officer and Research Economist at Teagasc since September 2006, Kevin has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Lecturer at Atlantic Technological University and the National University of Ireland, Galway since January 2016 and January 2007, respectively. Previously, Kevin held a position as a Lecturer in Economics and Economics Research Associate at Dublin City University Business School from 1999 to 2006. Kevin's teaching expertise encompasses Industrial, Business, Managerial, Micro and Macro Economics, Applied Economics of the EU, and Multi-Level Governance for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. In addition to teaching, Kevin has spearheaded research initiatives focused on innovation in low and medium tech sectors, notably as the initiator of the EU FP 5 project Policy and Innovation in Low-Tech (PILOT). Kevin holds a PhD in Economics from Dublin City University and both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Economics from the University of Galway.
