Nino Gabriel Esguerra is a skilled professional in the energy sector with a strong background in power plant operations and engineering. Currently serving as a Main Plant Operator at Team Energy since March 2019, Nino oversees the operation of various power plant equipment, including boilers and turbines, while also managing aspects of raw and wastewater treatment. Previous roles include Plant Engineer at Phil-Nippon Kyoei Corporation, where responsibilities encompassed the operation and maintenance of a cold storage plant, and as a Cadet Engineer, Nino gained comprehensive training in controls and instrumentation. Earlier experience as a Project Engineer involved the fabrication and construction of process equipment, as well as cost estimation and project auditing. Nino holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Mapúa University.

We are TeaM Energy -- one of the largest independent power producers in the Philippines, born out of a partnership between Japanese firms Tokyo Electric Power Company and Marubeni Corporation. With over 2,000 megawatts (MW) of installed generating capacity, we operate two clean coal facilities; namely, the 735 MW Pagbilao Power Station in Quezon, and the 1,200 MW Sual Power Station in Pangasinan. In addition to these, we have a 20% share in the 1,200 MW natural gas-fired plant in Ilijan, Batangas. All these efforts are aimed at addressing the country’s energy needs towards sustainable economic growth and development.
