Dr. Ramin Beravat

Dr. Ramin Beravat has a diverse work experience in scientific research and data science. Dr. Ramin started their career in 2010 with a summer internship at Qioptiq, where they developed and constructed a measuring system to determine the refractive index of liquid glues. In 2011, they continued their work at Qioptiq for their bachelor thesis, focusing on the effects of thermal post-treatment on the optical and mechanical properties of ion-beam-sputtered coatings. Dr. Ramin'sanalysis of the data led to a patent that protects these coatings against mechanical stress.

In 2013, Dr. Beravat joined Ametek Taylor Hobson Ltd for their master thesis, where they conducted theoretical and practical investigations on the influence of surface slope in chromatic confocal microscopy. Dr. Ramin used Zemax and Matlab to study the optical design parameters and developed a unique calibration technique.
