Lily Garcia Walton

Lily Garcia Walton has an extensive work experience spanning from 2004 to present. In 2021, they assumed the role of Chief People Officer at Silverchair. In 2019, they joined the Board of Directors of Bryant & Stratton College. From 2017 to 2018, they served as Co-Founder and Legal and HR Advisor at Teamed and Chief People Officer at Education First Consulting, respectively. From 2013 to 2017, they held multiple positions at Strayer University, including Vice Provost, Faculty / VP, Academic Operations, Vice President of Human Resources and Deputy General Counsel, and Sr. Associate General Counsel. Lily also served as a People Management Instructor at The Jack Welch Management Institute, Lead Counsel, Employment & Labor at Clearspire, and Online Columnist and Director, Human Resources at washingtonpost.com. In 2007, they were appointed as Director of Training at Employment Practices Solutions, Inc.

Lily Garcia Walton obtained their JD from the University of Virginia between 1993 and 1996. Prior to this, they obtained a BA in English from Stetson University between 1989 and 1992. Lily attended Nova High School from 1985 to 1989. In 1998, they obtained a License to Practice Law from both the Colorado Supreme Court and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals. In 2006, they obtained a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from HRCI.
