Tom Gergich has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Tom currently holds the position of Vice President of Real Estate & Development at TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants since February 2021. In this role, they oversee the organization's portfolio of quick-service, casual dine, and fast-casual restaurants and assists in analyzing company acquisitions.
Prior to their current role, Tom worked as the Director of Real Estate at TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants from April 2015 to February 2021. In this position, they directed, managed, and executed all of the organization's restaurant real estate activities.
Before joining TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants, Tom worked at McDonald's Corporation as an Area Real Estate Manager from July 2004 to April 2015. Here, they played a crucial role in acquiring new sites, performing financial analysis, providing disposition of excess property, and working closely with the legal department to ensure compliance with company policy.
Earlier in their career, Tom held roles as a Sales Associate at Signature Associates from January 2003 to June 2004, a Sales Associate at Zyndorf/Serchuck from January 1997 to January 2003, and a Real Estate Agent, Residential at Cavalear Realty from January 1995 to January 1997.
Their work experience also includes a significant role as the Director of Surveying/Construction at Proudfoot Associates from March 1977 to January 1995. During this time, they were responsible for various tasks such as hiring, scheduling work assignments, client contact, estimating, and contract negotiation. Tom also implemented a computer system that automated surveying, design, and drafting processes, resulting in cost reduction and increased production.
Lastly, Tom started their career in the Ohio Air National Guard as a Site Development Specialist from January 1975 to January 1981.
Tom Gergich attended Heidelberg University, starting in 1990, to study Business/Commerce, General. Prior to that, they attended The University of Toledo, beginning in 1978, to study Civil Engineering Technology/Technician.
