Tõnis Arro began their career in 1989 as the HR Director at Tartu Maja. In 1990, they co-founded, led, and grew Fontes PMP Ltd from a psychological assessment and development company into a full-service HR consultancy. Tõnis served as the CEO and Chairman until 2006. In 1995, they co-founded Hermes Publishers and served as a Board Member. In 2009, they co-founded Executive Lab and served as the Managing Partner. Tõnis also became the Chairman of the Jaan Kross Foundation and a Member of the Board at Gourmet Coffee. In 2012, they were the Chief Executive Officer of the Estonian Development Fund and a Member of the Management Board and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of SmartCap. In 2015, they became Co-Founder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Wisnio, an SAAS platform that helps make better hiring decisions.
Tõnis Arro obtained their Master's degree in social psychology from Tartu University between 1978 and 1983. In 1999, they attended Helsinki University for Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy and the London Business School for the Senior Executive Programme in Management. Tõnis also participated in the Kaufmann Fellowship program. In 2012, they obtained a Master Practitioner degree in Systemic Team Coaching from the Academy of Executive Coaching in the UK. Tõnis also holds a Graduate Certificate from the Academy of Executive Coaching.
