Gerard Harbach

Gerard Harbach has held various positions in project management and engineering since beginning his career, with significant experience in the life sciences and aerospace sectors. Currently, Gerard serves as a Senior Project Manager and Leader of the R&D Synergence Concepts Team at Tecan, a role started in January 2013. Prior to Tecan, Gerard worked at RUAG Aerospace from 2007 to December 2012 as a Project Manager and Optical Systems Engineer, focusing on project management, proposal writing, and system engineering for opto-mechanical systems. Gerard's academic background includes a PhD in Applied Photonics from EPFL (2004-2007) and a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zürich (1997-2004). Early career experiences include a research assistant position at EPFL and an internship at Nortel Networks.
