Laura Beken

Laura Beken is a board member at Tech Coast Angels. Laura has previously held positions as a manager, publication manager, editor, president, vice president, software engineer, and web designer.

Laura Beken has over 20 years of experience in the tech industry. Laura started their career as a software engineer and then transitioned into web design. After a few years of designing websites, they became interested in how to use technology to improve healthcare. Laura started working for Physicians News Network where they were responsible for managing publications and editing content.

In 2015, Laura became the president of Healthcare Innovation Network. In this role, they were responsible for connecting healthcare providers with innovators who could help reduce costs and improve care quality. After one year in this role, they transitioned to become the vice president of HandBookLive.

In their current role as a board member at Tech Coast Angels, Laura is responsible for investing in and supporting early-stage companies in Southern California.

Laura Beken has a Healthcare MBA from the University of California, Irvine - The Paul Merage School of Business and a BA in Media/Visual Arts and a BA in Psychology from UC San Diego.
