Praful Hambarde

Praful Hambarde is currently an Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi since February 2025. Previously, Praful was an Artificial Intelligence Researcher at TECH5 from July 2023 to August 2024 and served as an Associate Research Fellow at Deakin University from September 2022 to July 2023. Praful's experience also includes working as a Research Scientist at Kroop AI, where a complete lightweight deep learning pipeline for cartoon image generation was developed alongside work on MetaHuman Creator and Unreal Engine, from February 2022 to September 2022. Prior to this, Praful was a Research Scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology, Ropar, from August 2018 to January 2022, focusing on deep learning approaches for single image depth estimation during the PhD program. Praful holds a Master of Technology in Electronics Engineering from Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology (2016-2018) and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from Maharashtra Institute of Technology (2011-2015). Education also includes attendance at Yeshwant Mahavidyalaya Nanded and Shivaji Highschool Cidco Nanded.
