Mosharrof Mondal has worked in a variety of roles in the field of RNAi biology since 2011. Mosharrof began their career as a Graduate Research Associate at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (UTHSCSA), where they received in depth training in molecular biology/cell biology benchwork and completed extensive graduate coursework. During their time at UTHSCSA, they worked on proteolysis on yeast system and on many animal cell lines (human, mouse, chicken), diabetic mouse/rat to study different disease conditions.
In 2014, Mondal moved to The University of Southern Mississippi, where they served as a Graduate Research Associate. During this time, they worked on five distinct projects on spider mites, dust mites, fall armyworm, and Cephalochordate, with the goal of developing technology to solve real-world problems, such as pest control.
In 2018, Mondal began their role as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Arizona.
Most recently, in 2022, Mondal joined TechAccel LLC (Technology Acceleration Partners) as the RNAi Discovery Project Lead and Senior RNAi Biologist.
Mosharrof Mondal obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology from the University of Dhaka in 2009. Mosharrof then went on to receive a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology/Biotechnology/Genetic Engineering at the University of Dhaka in 2011. After this, they attended UT Health San Antonio from 2011-2013. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology/Biological Sciences, General at The University of Southern Mississippi in 2018.
