Kay Michelsen

Kay Michelsen is the Head of Program at TechBBQ. Kay previously worked as a Project Manager for Spatial Design and International Event Coordinator at The Human Library Organization from February 2019 to August 2020. In this role, they coordinated and delivered D&I events across the private and public sphere, with a focus on international partners. Kay also trained volunteers and Depot Managers in the HLO methodology, coordinated travel, communicated with event partners, ensured event logistics were in place, and ran the events on the day of.

Kay has helped coordinate events for Eli Lilly, Delta Faucet, Smurfit Kappa, the International Monetary Fund, and more. Kay has also coordinated and delivered events within the cultural sphere; at Burning Man, Smukfest, and other local Danish events.

Kay Michelsen holds a Master's degree in Spatial Design and Society from Roskilde University, and a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology and International Development from the University of Sussex. Kay also spent a voluntary year abroad in Copenhagen.

They are on a team with Benjamin Notlev - CCO, Sam Eshrati - COO, and Mikkel Bendixsen - Head of Events. Kay Michelsen reports to Avnit Singh, CEO.
