Prior to joining [TechCrunch](/org/techcrunch), Sweeney worked with AOL/Verizon Media Group as a liaison between the legacy systems (AOL, Yahoo and [Verizon](/org/verizon-communications)) and the fast paced startup culture of [TechCrunch](/org/techcrunch). In this role, they managed the freelance and contributing writers contracts and payments, collected and disseminated writer traffic statistics weekly, monthly and annually, and planned and coordinated events such as Mandatory Fun Times, Department Offsite, Disrupt San Francisco, New York, London and Berlin.

Jessica started their career as an Assistant Editor at Pearson. Jessica then transitioned into marketing and brand strategy, co-founding the startup Reboot Creative + Strategy. Jessica later joined WDFA Marketing as the Director of Brand Strategy. There, they oversaw the brand strategy for clients such as [RadioShack](/org/radioshack), Nokia USA, and YP.com. Damian Benstead is currently the Event Partnerships Manager at [TechCrunch](/org/techcrunch). Prior to this, they were the Managing Director at The Golf Show Group from January 2011 to August 2015. In this role, they were responsible for strategic planning to ensure viability and longevity of the Golf Show Group, as well as managing and organizing annual consumer golf shows. Damian also oversaw marketing and PR to reach target visitor numbers, created new events from conception through to successful completion, and instigated relationships with new sponsors and show partners. Damian was also responsible for liaising and negotiating with venues, contractors, and suppliers.

From January 2008 to January 2011, Damian was the Sales Director at The Golf Show Group. Kevin has over five years of experience in event management, with a focus on conferences ranging in size from 10 to 5,000 attendees in the technology, finance, biotech, retail, legal and government sectors. 

Manniko has headed multiple programs as the primary contact with overall responsibility for the success of each event. Kevin has managed day-to-day activities of core teams of professionals as well as venues and vendors for pre-planning and onsite execution. Kevin has also driven keynotes and general sessions as technical director for conferences in the U.S. and Europe, managing budgets of more than $1 million.
