Mauricio Toro has held a variety of positions in the medical and engineering industries. In 2009, they were a Simulation Consultant at Ecole nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz, a Technical Coordinator of Formula SENA and Formula SENA ECO at SENA, and a Co-Founder and Managing Director and Co-Founder and Technical Manager at C2R Engineering. In 2012, they became the Chief Technology and Business Development Officer, Chief Commercial Officer, Marketing and Technical Director, and Technical Director at Industrias Medicas Sampedro. In 2013, they were a Board Member at ANDI del Futuro. In 2015, they were an Investment Committee Member at Invictum Capital and a Mechanical Engineering Advisory Committee Member at Escuela de Ingeniería de Antioquia. In 2019, they became the CEO/Co-Founder of TECHFIT Digital Surgery | 3DPlanning | Patient-Specific implants, where they led the team that developed the technology and achieved FDA 510(K) for maxillofacial implants. In 2020, they became Chairman of Smart Internal Mobility and a Board of Trustees Member at InnspiraMED Foundation.

Mauricio Toro began their educational journey in 2003 when they attended Univerisidad EAFIT and earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2007. Mauricio then attended Ecole nationale d'Ingénieurs de Metz and earned a Mechanical Engineer degree in 2009. Finally, they attended Cranfield University and earned an Msc. in Motorsport Engineering and Management in 2010.
