Chester Shiu

Chester Shiu serves as General Counsel and Secretary for both Emerald Cloud Lab and Emerald Therapeutics since September 2015, overseeing regulatory compliance and intellectual property portfolio management. As a Founding Member of TechGC since March 2018, Chester participates in a peer community dedicated to sharing knowledge among General Counsels. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Intellectual Property & Litigation at Green Revolution Cooling, Associate positions at Meyertons, Hood, Kivlin, Kowert & Goetzel, P.C. and DiNovo Price LLP, where Chester specialized in patent matters, litigation, and legal advice for startups and research institutions. Chester's legal education includes a Juris Doctor from The University of Texas School of Law, a Master of Science in Biomedical Informatics from Stanford University School of Medicine, and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Computation from Stanford University.
