Mariel Marcus

Mariel Marcus serves as Senior Counsel at CBRE since September 2024, and is a Deputy GC Member at TechGC since April 2022. Previously, Mariel held the position of Director, Legal at Common from February 2020 to June 2024, where responsibilities included leading legal and compliance for North American operations and overseeing various legal affairs. Prior experience includes roles at Empire State Development from February 2017 to February 2020, serving as Assistant Counsel and managing corporate and real estate documents. Mariel’s early career featured legal internships at Skip Hop, Thomson Reuters, CHANEL, and David Yurman, focusing on intellectual property and brand enforcement. Mariel earned a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Judaic Studies from Franklin & Marshall College.
