Yaoyao Zhu

Yaoyao Zhu is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in developing machine learning models across various industries. Currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at Fulton Bank since February 2023, Yaoyao is focused on credit risk modeling. Prior to this, a significant tenure at Checkpoint Systems included roles as Data Scientist, Algorithm Engineer, and Senior Software Engineer, where expertise in machine learning for alarm classification was developed. Personal projects included building and deploying machine learning models for laptop price prediction using Google Cloud Platform. Academic background features a PhD in Image Processing, Machine Learning, and Pattern Recognition from Lehigh University, along with a Master's in Data Mining from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Peking University. Additional research experience includes positions at the National Institutes of Health and significant contributions to software engineering at Bell Laboratories and Lucent Technologies.
