Elisei Shafer

Elisei (Eli) Shafer is a Research Laboratory Engineer at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology since November 2018, specializing in robotics and reinforcement learning, including programming the Franka Emika Panda robot arm and managing GPU server clusters. Previously, Elisei served as a Laboratory Assistant in the Control, Robotics, and Machine Learning lab, providing support to students with practical project aspects. Elisei also holds an MSc. in Marine Technology from the University of Haifa and has significant experience as a Verification/Automation Engineer at Augury, alongside earlier roles in mechatronics and electrical engineering. With a strong background in both academic research and practical applications, Elisei has developed expertise in algorithm development, system debugging, and lab management.
