Meagan Kay-Fowlow

Meagan Kay-Fowlow had a diverse range of work experience. Meagan is currently President of Innovation Centre at techNL, a position they have held since July 2023. Before that, they founded and worked as Principal Consultant at Dark Tide Consulting starting from December 2021.

Prior to their consulting role, Meagan had various positions in different organizations. Meagan worked at McMaster University as an Assistant Director of Operations for the Institute on Ethics & Policy for Innovation from July 2015 to April 2020. Meagan also served as a Program Manager at St. Michael's Hospital, focusing on ethical, social, and cultural risk from April 2014 to June 2015.

Earlier in their career, Meagan worked at The Sandra Rotman Centre as a Program Manager for the Ethical, Social, and Cultural Program from August 2012 to April 2014. Meagan also gained experience at The Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI), where they held roles such as Research Officer for the Global Development Program from March 2011 to August 2012, and Project Coordinator for Government Affairs from March 2009 to March 2011. Meagan started at CIGI as a Research Assistant, organizing conferences related to IMF Reform and CIGI's 2008 conference.

Furthermore, Meagan was a Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo from January 2008 to September 2008. Meagan'searly work experience includes managing responsibilities as a Manager at The Outfitters from October 2005 to August 2007.

Meagan Kay-Fowlow completed their education with a Master of Arts in Political Science from the University of Waterloo, which they pursued from 2007 to 2009. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Honours degree in Political Science, Law and Society from the Memorial University of Newfoundland between 2001 and 2006.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Meagan has also obtained several certifications throughout their career. These certifications include the Innovation Governance Program - Level 2 and Level 1 from the Innovation Governance Program, the Strategic Management Specialization - Executive Management Program (EMP) from DeGroote School of Business - McMaster University, and the Certified Agile Project Manager certification from the Project Management Association of Canada.
