Matt Medlin is a Board Member at Technology Alliance and a Mentor at Global Innovation Exchange (GIX). Matt was previously a Partner and member at SeaChange Fund, a member at Alliance of Angels, and a Supervisory/Audit Committee Member at Gesa Credit Union.
Matt started their career in 1984 as an audit staff through manager at StepChange Data, Inc. Matt was admitted as a partner in 1996 and worked with companies from angel and venture funding through their IPOs and/or sales to strategic buyers. Matt assisted numerous companies on due diligence projects for prospective acquisition targets. Some of the IPOs they were involved with included T-Mobile USA, XO Communications, Applied Voice Technology, Data Critical, Nextel Partners, Northland Communications, and Western Wireless. Strategic sales they were involved with included Voicestream Wireless to T-Mobile USA, McCaw Cellular to AT&T, and Data Critical to GE Medical.
In 2018, they became a Board Observer at StepChange Data, Inc. and held that position until 2020. Matt is now a Board Member at Technology Alliance and a Mentor at GIX. Matt is also on the Advisory Board for Prolaera.
Matt Medlin has a BA in Accounting and MIS from Eastern Washington University. Matt also has Executive Education in Business Management from IMD and INSEAD. In addition, they have a High School diploma from Hudson's Bay High School. Matt also has certifications from AICPA in Blockchain Fundamentals for Accounting and Finance Professionals Certificate, Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in Certified Fraud Examiner, Washington State Board of Accountancy in Certified Public Accountant, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Chartered Global Management Accountant.
