Rafail Psiakis

Lead Researcher - Silicon Security at Technology Innovation Institute

Rafail Psiakis, PhD, serves as the Lead Researcher in Silicon Security at the Technology Innovation Institute since January 2021, where responsibilities include leading RISC-V based System on Chip research and security architecture for commercial applications. Previously, Rafail worked as a Senior Researcher at TII, focusing on the development of a RISC-V based flight controller platform in collaboration with multiple universities. Prior experience includes an R&D Embedded Security Engineer role at Secure-IC, where Rafail contributed to an embedded Hardware Security Module, and a Research Assistant position at Inria, with a focus on error types, fault tolerance, and embedded processors. Educationally, Rafail obtained a PhD in Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, and ASIC design from Université de Rennes I and holds an Engineering Diploma from the University of Patras.
