David Buckley

David Buckley has extensive experience in the field of GIS solutions, particularly in the domains of forestry and wildland fire protection. David has held various positions throughout their career, starting as a GIS Analyst at Alberta Govt in 1986. David later worked as a Principal GIS Consultant at Innovative GIS Solutions from 1994 to 1999.

From 1999 to 2000, David served as the Director of GIS Solutions at Pacific Meridian Resources. David then joined Space Imaging as the Director of GIS Solutions from 2000 to 2005. Following that, they worked as the Director of Forestry and Wildfire Solutions at Sanborn Solutions from 2005 to 2010.

David then joined Data Transfer Solutions, LLC (DTS) as the Vice President of GIS Solutions from 2010 to 2013. During their time at DTS, they closely collaborated with the DTS GIS team and the DTSAgile geo-web software development team, providing senior consulting and overseeing GIS analysis, modeling, and custom applications development projects.

From 2013 to 2014, David served as a Senior Consultant, GIS Solutions at Timmons Group, where they focused on providing GIS consulting services and developing wildland fire solutions as part of Timmons Group's suite of offerings.

David's most recent position is with Technosylva Inc., where they have held various roles since 2014. David initially served as the Vice President from 2014 to 2016 before becoming the Vice President & Principal Consultant from 2014 to 2017. Currently, they hold the position of Vice-President / COO at Technosylva Inc.

David Buckley earned their Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography from York University, where they studied from 1976 to 1979. David later pursued further education and completed their Master of Arts degree in Geography at the University of Alberta between 1984 and 1987.
