Director Of Strategic Insights, Monetization, Partnerships at TechSmith

Daniel Foster has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Daniel began their career in 1994 as an Assistant Director of Recreation at Cedar Campus. From there, they worked as a Campaign Project Leader at Greater Holland United Way before moving on to Herman Miller, Inc. as a Corporate Communications Project Specialist. At the United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County, they held the position of Marketing and Communications Intern.

In 2000, Daniel became a Teaching Assistant for Business and Professional Communication at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Daniel then joined OXBRIDGE Customised Courses as an Instructor for English as a Second Language.

Daniel's career expanded to include roles at Faithlife as Press Relations and at TechSmith, where they held positions such as Senior Marketing Writer and Social Media Strategist. Daniel later became a Product Marketing Manager and then a Strategy Manager, responsible for identifying and prioritizing growth opportunities.

Currently, Daniel is working at TechSmith as the Director of Strategy, where they are accountable for one of four top OKRs in the organization. Daniel led the creation and implementation of an outcomes-oriented strategic framework across the organization.

Throughout their career, Daniel has demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, marketing, communications, and teaching.

Daniel Foster completed their education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where they obtained a Master's degree in Communication from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they attended Hope College from 1993 to 1997, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication, English, and Greek. In addition to their formal education, Daniel has acquired additional certifications, including the Storytelling for PMs Course, Experimentation + Testing Course, Monetization + Pricing Course from Reforge, Leadership Lansing - Class of 2019 from Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce, and Pragmatic Marketing - Level Four from Pragmatic Marketing.
