Doug Read P.Eng. PMP is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in process control and electrical engineering within the mineral processing and material handling industries. Currently serving as a Senior Process Control Engineer at Teck Resources Limited since January 2023, Doug previously held roles at Centerra Gold Inc. as an Electrical Engineer and at Metso Outotec for over 14 years, where responsibilities included managing groups focused on process control systems and electrical/instrumentation engineering. Doug's foundational career includes positions at Invensys, Resolute Forest Products, and AV Terrace Bay, contributing significantly to the design, installation, and commissioning of various electrical systems. Doug holds a Bachelor of Engineering and an Engineering Technology Diploma from Lakehead University, along with ongoing professional development through the Institute of Project Management and Toastmasters Club.
