Matt Parrilla

Matt Parrilla is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations management and engineering within the resource sector. Currently serving as General Manager at Teck Resources Limited since July 2011, Matt has held several key roles, including General Manager of Highland Valley Copper Operations and various director positions focused on operations transformation, integrated operations, strategy for RACE21, and technology and innovation in base metals. Prior experience includes a position as Shift Engineer at Zellstoff Celgar Ltd. in 2006 and as CRO/Shift Team Leader at Albian Sands Energy Inc. from 2001 to 2004. Educational qualifications include a diploma in Power Engineering Technology from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology and a Second Class Power Engineer certification obtained in 2004.
