Hugo Almeida

Hugo Almeida is a seasoned professional in the pharmaceutical field, currently serving as the Technology Transfer Manager at Tecnimede Group since September 2025. Previously, Hugo held roles as a Senior Formulation Scientist at AstraZeneca for a brief period in mid-2025 and served as a Senior Pharmaceutical Scientist and Formulation Scientist at BIAL from April 2014 to July 2025. Earlier in his career, Hugo was a Formulation Scientist at Tecnimede Group from August 2005 to March 2014. Educationally, Hugo holds a Master's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculdade de Farmácia da Universidade do Porto, a Doctor of Philosophy in Biomedical Sciences from ICBAS- Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences, and a Master of Science in Advanced Pharmaceutical Technology from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon. Additional qualifications include a Postgraduate Degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the Faculty of Pharmacy of the University of Lisbon and participating in an Erasmus program at the University of Strathclyde.
