Stefano Calafà

Stefano Calafà started working as a Software Engineer at MicroStudio S.r.l. in April 2021. In this role, they developed code in CUDA and C++ for the virtual reconstruction of a rotating spring on an axis using photographs taken by two black-and-white cameras. Stefano also processed the structure to eliminate defects caused by dust and noise, as well as serious artifacts caused by areas that the cameras couldn't see. Additionally, Stefano selected center-wire points of the spring and recognized their properties within the structure. Stefano'semployment at MicroStudio S.r.l. ended in October 2021. Stefano then joined Tecniplast as a Data Scientist in June 2022, and their current employment there is ongoing.

Stefano Calafà holds a diverse educational background. Stefano first attended liceo scientifico from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained their Diploma. After that, Stefano pursued their interest in biomedical engineering by completing a Laurea triennale degree in Ingegneria biomedica/medica at Politecnico di Milano from 2014 to 2019. Recently, from 2019 to 2022, they furthered their education at the same institution, Politecnico di Milano, by completing a Laurea Magistrale LM degree in the same field of study.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Stefano Calafà has also obtained several certifications. In 2013, they acquired the First Certificate from the University of Cambridge. Later, in 2019, they obtained the TOEIC certification from ETS. Lastly, in 2021, Stefano earned the CAE Certificate, also from the University of Cambridge.
