Denise Wilcox, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has more than 15 years of experience in human resources and leadership roles. Denise began their career in 2004 as an Associate Director at the City of Albuquerque, where they directed various divisions within the Environmental Health Department and served as a liaison on environmental health matters. In 2007, they were promoted to Deputy Director, overseeing facilities, energy, security, and parking divisions in the Municipal Development Department.
In 2009, Denise joined New Mexico Gas Company as the Human Resources Manager, managing labor/employee relations and benefits. Denise successfully decertified three unions and ensured consistent application of human resources policies across the company. In 2014, they were promoted to Manager of Human Resources, where they provided leadership in areas such as employee relations, recruitment, training and development, and HR generalist functions.
In 2016, Denise advanced to become the Director of CRM Strategic Solutions and Human Resources at New Mexico Gas Company. In this role, they provided leadership and direction in strategic solutions and human resources, serving as the company's representative and subject matter expert for all employee-related issues. Denise partnered with business unit leaders and senior executives to attract, retain, and develop a competent workforce.
In 2019, Denise further progressed within the company, becoming the Vice President of Human Resources. Denise continued to lead the HR function and contributed to the company's success. In May 2020, Denise was promoted to their current role as the Vice President of Human Resources & Corporate Security at New Mexico Gas Company, further expanding their responsibilities.

Additionally, Denise has obtained certifications including the SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from the Society for Human Resources Management in May 2015, and the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the HR Certification Institute - HRCI in June 2014.
