Mounika Rao

Mounika Rao is currently working as a Senior Research Associate at Tectonic Therapeutic, Inc. and as a Cell Biology Coop at Generation Bio. In 2020, they worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Northeastern University, studying the efficacy of a treatment for epithelial ovarian cancer. Mounika also served as an Instructional Assistant. In 2018, they were an Intern at Shodhaka Life Sciences, researching the role of non-coding RNAs in myocardial infarction. In 2017, they were an Intern at Indian Institute of Science (IISc).

Mounika Rao completed their Bachelor of Engineering in Biotechnology from Ramaiah Institute of Technology in 2019, after studying there from 2015 to 2019. Mounika is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery Systems at Northeastern University, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2021. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Biosafety Awareness Training, Fundamentals of Laboratory Safety, and Regulated Medical Waste from BioRAFT in 2020, as well as a Human Molecular Genetics certification from NPTEL in 2017.
