Akash Mittra has extensive maritime and safety management experience, holding various leadership positions at Teekay since January 2009, currently serving as Director HSEQ. Responsibilities include global legislative monitoring, compliance strategies, emergency response planning, and spill response contracts. Prior roles within Teekay encompassed Manager Fleet HSEQ and HSEQ Manager. Previous experience includes working as Manager - Operations at Fleet Management Limited and Marine Superintendent at OMI Marine Services LLC. Akash began the maritime career at Century Shipping, where titles included Cadet and Master Mariner. Academic qualifications include an MSC in Risk Management from De Montfort University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Shipping Management from the Narottam Morarjee Institute of Shipping in Mumbai.
