Teen Cancer America
Betty Roggenkamp, MSHC, currently serves as an AYA Program Development Strategist at Teen Cancer America, focusing on establishing integrated care programs for adolescents and young adults diagnosed with cancer. In addition to this role, Betty holds positions as an Executive Board Member for the Cactus Cancer Society and a Committee Member for AYAs Take Chicago, collaborating to enhance community support for AYAs in the Chicagoland area. Betty contributes as a consultant for the Illinois Department of Public Health and leads projects within the Coleman Supportive Oncology Collaborative for Adolescents and Young Adults and the Coleman Supportive Oncology Collaborative for Adults. With a background in health communication from Northwestern University and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Northern Illinois University, Betty possesses extensive experience in cancer care improvement and community advocacy.

Teen Cancer America engages and supports hospitals and outpatient facilities in the development of specialized and comprehensive Adolescent and Young Adult care programs for ages 15-39. We build AYA friendly environments, develop standards for age-targeted care, improve collaboration between pediatric and adult specialists, and support dedicated research to improve outcomes and survival rates.
